How To Use A GoPro as Webcam

Do you have an old GoPro lying around? Do you need a webcam?

In this example I will be using a GoPro Hero 7 Black and a Elgato Camlink and setting this up work within streamlabs.

First you will need to have a Black edition GOPro (Hero 5/6/7/8) a Micro HDMI cable and a Elgato CAMLink. I’ve added links below.

Once you have these you are ready to set up your GoPro as a webcam. So firstly you need to plug in the CamLink to your PC and let windows install any drivers. Once this is done connect the larger HDMI end of the cable to the CamLink. Take the other end of the cable (smaller end) and plug this into your GoPro. You then need to plug the USB-C Cable to a USB charger so that you GoPro has constant power. Turn on your GoPro and this should now be an option within Windows as a webcam!
